Hoot N' Holler Drinkin' Vinegar

We’ve teamed up with @appalachianforager Whitney Johnson to make a brand new brew that celebrates our beloved paw paw.

Made with a base of paw paws, quince, and heirloom apples, then steeped with vanilla, cloves, allspice, cardamom, black pepper, and nutmeg, this vinegar tastes like apple pie. Except it’s even more American than that sounds. Apples hail from Central Asia, but the paw paws in our bottles are true Appalachian natives. Hoot N’ Holler is a little sweet, a little tart, and gently spiced to keep the fruit front and center.

We crafted Hoot N’ Holler as a drinking vinegar for mixing. Combine 1 part vinegar with 3 to 4 parts seltzer for a perky probiotic spritzer, or stir it into your favorite moonshine to help the medicine go down.

However you can also use this versatile vinegar for sweet and savory cooking. Treat it like an apple cider vinegar for dressing bitter lettuces, or make a mess of hearty greens. Hoot N’ Holler goes nicely with autumn root vegetables, squash, and all things pastry.

Hella Delicious (and Healthy)

I bought some Hoot N' Holler after the Appalachian Forager provided us with a taste test during the Pine Mountain Fall Arts Festival. I broke my December New Moon fast with this special elixir. Wil run out this week for some seltzer to enjoy the spritzer version as well. Thanks for creating such a delightful potion. Am now pondering the Vinegar Club 🤔 but will wait until coffers are replenished post-kitchen renovation. Highly recommend!!!

Tasty

This vinegar is very tasty. Love it with some soda water, I'm thinking about trying it with ginger beer.
