Hillbillyaki Appalachian Teriyaki Sauce


It’s a marinade, a stir fry sauce, a meatloaf glaze, and a condiment all in one: you’ll want to put Hillbillyaki on everything.

Like our Hoot N’ Holler Drinkin' Vinegar, this genre-bending sauce is a collaboration with Appalachian Forager Whitney Johnson. She loves the Blue Ridge Mountains as much as we do, which is why we packed this sweet and savory sauce with foraged mushrooms, native pine and magnolias, and tangy American sorghum syrup. Add in a generous helping of smoky fermented black garlic and you have some of Appalachia’s best produce combined into a versatile teriyaki sauce.

Use this sauce just like teriyaki in stir fries, as a glaze, or a marinade for the grill. It's delicious with meatloaf or chicken meatballs, and the sorghum syrup caramelizes beautifully when exposed to high heat. This is a limited production, so don’t wait too long to snag your bottles!
